International Black Women History Month Founder Sha Battle to Speak in the Taste Urban
Staff Report
Tuesday, April 19th, 2022
Taste Urban is BACK on April 20, 2022 to once again spotlight Atlanta’s too often underrepresented African American business owners. And this time, just in time for International Black Women’s History Month, it will be THE BIGGEST event yet with 60+ vendors, 300+ attendees. Plus, the International Black Women History Month founder Sha Battle will be a featured speaker in the Taste Urban Learning Annex! She’ll be talking about her journey creating and growing the International Black Women’s History Month movement during the first half of the Learning Annex; Stephanie Taylor and Roger Ball with Cobb County Supplier Diversity will take center stage in the learning annex immediately following Battle teaching entrepreneurs on how to do business with the county. But that’s not all…
Staying true to its original purpose, Taste Urban will be giving attendees a taste of all things locally black-owned. Attendees will be treated to tapas style savory flavors, sweet treats and “spirited” drinks from black-owned food and alcoholic beverage business owners while also experiencing products and services from African American inventors, artists, musicians, service providers and community organizations. Meanwhile, vendors have the opportunity to network with other business owners, meet new potential customers, and generate revenue!
