Boxlight Corporation (Nasdaq: BOXL), a leading provider of interactive technology, digital signage, and software solutions, announces that its professional development division, Boxlight-EOS Education, successfully implemented customized teacher professional development with Clayton County Public Schools.
Clayton County Public Schools is the 5th largest school district in Georgia with a mission to empower its students with innovative technology solutions, including training that helps teachers provide high-quality instruction. CCPS invested in Boxlight Mimio education solutions such as interactive displays and software, for which professional development is consistently provided. Boxlight-EOS Education has continued to build on its collaborative relationship with CCPS, including customized training content with technology applications such as Google Workspace and MimioStudio™ software, sharing instructional methods for hybrid and remote learning, and ongoing support from Digital Learning Specialists. The support has helped to increase teacher use of educational technology in the classroom.
April Mayo, Director of Instructional Technology for Clayton County Public Schools, comments, “It is my belief that this increase in (technology) utilization, is purely because of the support and ongoing training we’ve provided our teachers.”
Dr. Alex Leis, Senior VP Professional Development for Boxlight, states, “Because we provide a variety of training opportunities knowing that teachers’ comfort levels with technology vary, each can receive the right level of support.”
