Georgia Power Engineer Brings Christmas to Christian City Children’s Home in Union City
Georgia Power Senior Distribution Engineering Representative Darrol Mitchell from Jonesboro recently played Santa Claus for several children that live at Christian City Children’s Home in Union City. Seventeen boys and girls between the ages of eight and 18 were given clothes, shoes, sports equipment, and toys to help make their holiday bright!
By securing donation from company employees and through the Citizens of Georgia Power employee volunteer chapter, Darrol used gift cards to purchase gifts for each child based on their interests.
“We work for a great company with a lot of wonderful caring people,” Mitchell said. “Each child received gifts, a Christmas card and gift cards thanks to all of you.”
