ATLANTA, GEORGIA (March 14, 2020) – – As reported cases of the COVID-19 virus increase, President Donald Trump has declared a national state of emergency.  Following the guidance of Governor Brian Kemp and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, the ATL Airport Chamber (TAAC) will implement a flexible teleworking schedule and postpone – not cancel – upcoming events through March 30, 2020.  Our office located at 600 South Central Parkway is closed to the public during this timeframe, but you can reach Chamber staff by calling (404) 209.0910.

The Chamber’s robust strategic plan will refocus some of our activities to digital formattings, such as webinars.  Also, our social media platforms will provide updates on Chamber activities and business resources from the Small Business Administration, such as federal relief loan programs.  These loan programs are available to small businesses and nonprofit organizations to help alleviate economic injury caused by COVID-19.  The latest information can be obtained online at www.sba.gov/disaster.

Your health and safety are important to the Chamber.  To help protect the airport region and mitigate spreading the disease, please comply with the CDC recommendations.  These recommendations include frequent hand washing, practice social distancing, and remain home if you are sick.  Additional information is online at https://www.cdc.gov.

To learn more about TACC, please visit the website at www.airportchamber.com or call (404) 209.0910.
