Dr. Lewis’ had to delay his formal Investiture due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, Dr. Lewis has placed his stamp on AMSC, instituting robust programs and ushering in a new era of major partnerships including the PepsiCo Foundation, which is slated to provide $850,000 in scholarships, and partnering with the Atlanta Police Training Academy to provide training facilities on the AMSC campus for a minimum of two years for new police cadets, who will eventually become the city of Atlanta’s newest police officers.
